My Journey into Data Analysis

My Journey into Data Analysis

Day 1

I was amazed to find out what a powerful tool Excel was, It's a spreadsheet program, that can be used for various tasks from data entry and management to data analysis and visualization, and people of all skill levels can use it.

So today I learned the basic features of Excel and the anatomy of a spreadsheet, The intersection of rows and columns is called cells and a cell has a unique address such as[ A1, B2, G7]. A range is a collection of cells that are grouped together, to describe a range you can refer to the column letter and the row number.

Formulas are used to calculate data, e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, or to perform other mathematical operations.

Functions are predefined formulas used to perform specific tasks, sum, average, etc

Charts and graphs: Excel can be used to create charts and graphs to visualize data. Charts and graphs can be used to make data more understandable and to communicate trends and patterns.

Templates are preformatted spreadsheets that can be used to quickly and easily create new spreadsheets.
